Chief Content Officer

Are you a stable and experienced leader who tackles stressful situations with a zen like calm and always find the right motivational quote for an occasion? Are you a sturdy manager that has operated change management? 

Right now, one of our key positions are open. We’re looking for someone who can help us strive towards constant improvement. 
Within this role, you will have a spot in our management team, have middle managers report directly to you and your own budget. Furthermore you will have a legitimate reason to use fancy expressions like synergy effect and regression analysis in daily conversations for no apparent reason. You will become a part of a market leading company with a unique culture and a world class level of engagement. You will also get to wear extravagant slippers and be encouraged to use animated cats in your presentations.

 

Content is one of the four branches of Prisjakt. It is an organisation within the organisation with approximately 120 passionated geeks divided between Sweden and Poland. Content handles collection, sorting and assures the quality of all the product and store data Prisjakt has, as well as being responsible for a large flow of continuous data.

Location: The role as head of content will mean that you spend time in both Sweden and Poland. You can live in any Prisjakt country and still make it work as long as your able to travel an approximate 30 days per year.

Requirements regarding previous experiences

  • Staff responsibility, leading leaders. We expect you to be more of a coaching leader than a mentoring one.
  • Budget responsibility
  • Citizenship of “The Internet”; a high level of common knowledge when it comes to online society where you are comfortable shopping for food online and don’t panic if someone shares a Google Docs spreadsheet instead of an Excel one.
  • Strategic work (experience of long term goals spanning several years)
  • You exceed Arnold Schwarzenegger in your English skills, both in speech and text (being able to imitate his accent is optional but always a plus).

Qualifications

  • Have opened and/or managed offices in several different countries 
  • Has managed teams within bigger support departments / a large team of developers / a complex IT-support department
  • You are used to facilitating meetings and pointing with a stick
  • International experience (a kickoff in Copenhagen doesn’t count)

 Personality

First and foremost: you are a genuine person and act from authenticity, wearing only one face. Furthermore you are someone who wants to improve and therefor embraces change. More result- and solution oriented than process oriented there is a strong sense of gettingshitdone residing in you. As a leader you have an active and responsive side that is apparent and engaging to everyone. The goals you set for your team are challenging and have clear expectations. Fundamental to your work is to acquire a holistic view of your part in the machinery.

The feedback you give is straight and you handle uncomfortable conversations without thinking twice. At the same time you are not a douche -there is always a humanity within you moving the dialogue. You like to watch people grow, and you challenge them with good intentions, helping them develop their skillset. You carry yourself with confidence but disregards status since you think of everyone in the company as equals. An important part of this role is that you communicate naturally and can express yourself well in both text and speech. You have humour and self-distance and your are able to laugh at yourself. We feel that it is incredibly important that you have years of experience with leadership to fully take on this role.
